The Therkildsen Industrial Engineering Building is a thoughtfully designed, state-of-the-art facility that will serve as the new home for the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE). Created to foster flexibility and collaboration, the building will feature an advanced manufacturing lab, capstone design labs, multiple collaborative spaces, and a 120-seat team-based learning auditorium.

The layout and architecture have been intentionally crafted to build a strong sense of community among industrial engineering students, faculty, and visitors. With abundant natural light and dynamic spaces, the design supports a vibrant, engaging atmosphere that enhances learning, research, and innovation. The new facility will not only define a unique identity for the IMSE department but also expand its capacity for innovative teaching, impactful research, and meaningful community engagement.
