Sioux Center High School

Sioux Center, IA

Sioux Center High School

The new high school is a state-of-the-art educational facility located in a small rural community, reflecting the district’s strong commitment to technical advancement and student-centered learning. Particular attention was given to the design of the school’s career and technical education wing, supporting hands-on, future-ready instruction.

Spanning 179,500 square feet across two stories, the building is designed to accommodate 800 students, with thoughtful provisions for future growth. Plans allow for a future performing arts center on the east side and additional classroom space on the west.

The concept of “learning on display” drives the design, with most classrooms featuring glass walls that open to the hallways, creating transparency, fostering curiosity, and encouraging engagement throughout the building.
