Meadow Community School

A new elementary school for grades PreK-8th located in Thornton, CO. Covering 67,600 square feet, the new school features a two-story library in the center of the building that is bathed in natural light features an elevated area where students can share the books they’ve ‘published’ with their peers. For grades 1-6, classrooms are organized around a collaborative teaching model with two teachers serving 50 students. To foster a unique environment for 7th and 8th graders, a social area on the second floor overlooks the dining commons. The design incorporates extensive glass to enhance visual connectivity, while natural, biophilic materials are used throughout the school to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
