Jack Trice Stadium South End Zone
Ames, IAJack Trice Stadium South End Zone
Enclosing the South End Zone of Jack Trice Stadium was a 13-month, $60 million project that will reshape game day experiences for Iowa State University for years to come. The project increases the stadium capacity from 56,800 seats to 61,000 seats, making Jack Trice Stadium the third largest stadium of all the Big 12 stadiums. The renovation closed the south end zone with a permanent upper and lower seating bowl. The structure houses a new two-story premium club space and includes an additional HD-quality video board/sound system. Raker Rhodes Engineering provided the design of the scoreboard structure and the feature stair in addition to providing connection design for Weitz Construction and erection sequence support for Northwest Steel Erectors. HNTB Kansas City was the Engineer of Record for the project.
