A new elementary school in Chamberlain, SD features a pod-style classroom layout selected after evaluating multiple configuration options. This design provides reduced noise, improved visibility, enhanced grade-level collaboration, and shared resource areas.

Each pod incorporates the district’s color palette and interactive wall graphics that enrich the learning environment. Discovery sessions with district leadership, the school board, teachers, and students identified three guiding priorities: hands-on learning, flexible environments, and spaces that support diverse instructional approaches.
