Bristol Motor Speedway is now home to the world’s largest outdoor center hung videoboard display. Known as ‘Colossus TV,’ the 150 ton videoboard display is cablesuspended over the center of the speedway and clears the infield below by over 100 feet. Four cable-stayed towers located outside the stadium, stand up to 220 feet tall and approximately 600 feet from the videoboard display. Colossus TV features four custombuilt LED screens, each of which is 30 feet tall and 63 feet wide, as well as a lower LED ring display, measuring 6 feet tall by 60 feet in diameter. The sound system boasts of 40 miles of cable and fiber optics. The 540,000- watt audio system features 380 3-way loudspeakers and 48 stadium subwoofers that decrease the listening distance from what had been between 200-400 feet (depending on location) to no more than 90 feet.
