Abbie Grove Elementary is the twelfth elementary school in the Ankeny Community School District. Thoughtfully designed to harmonize with the surrounding architecture of the new community, the school provides a vibrant and welcoming environment for students from kindergarten through fifth grade, with capacity for up to 800 students.

The exterior showcases a dynamic mix of large windows, colorful metal panels, and brick accents, creating a modern and engaging visual identity. Inside, the learning environment emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and exploration. A centrally located student commons, filled with natural light, connects directly to a full-size gymnasium that includes a raised performance platform. At the core of the building, a spacious media center offers outdoor views and links seamlessly to adjacent technology and maker-space labs, serving as a hub for innovation and discovery.
