300 MLK is the landmark dining, retail and office center on the corner of Martin Luther King Parkway and 3rd Street in downtown Des Moines. A 4-story brick building built in 1908, it was the Old Tavern Brewery until 1920 when Prohibition banned the production and sale of alcoholic beverages. The building has served many purposes over its history until it was opened up with additional glass to create a more welcoming facility with plenty of natural light and panoramic views while maintaining the best architectural features of this historic building.
